A big festival of street food and Italian culture will delight Lyon | Festivals and concerts

What we love above all else in life are opposites. Eat ice cream in the winter, sunbathe in the rain or whip up raclettes in the summer. To break the routine and raise our morale at half-mast with beginning polar temperatures, how about participating in an Italian garden party that celebrates street food and transalpine culture despite the winter weather? It is offered by Garzza (a contraction of “garden party” and “pizza”) and its founder Laura Mendola, who specializes in nomadic Italian garden parties through her association Mandorla.

After two first editions at the Théâtre de Verdure in Aix-les-Bains in 2021 (450 festival-goers) and 2022 (1,800 festival-goers), The Garzza concept comes to Lyon for the very first time: Thursday 22 December from 12.00 to 22.00 in In-Sted at 6 rue de la Part-Dieu (Lyon 3.). And as you might expect, the show promises to be rich, greedy, dripping with happiness and above all, very comforting in these times.

On the menu: good little Italian street food composed by E Basta Arancini and Zappo, a sale of panettone from Antoinette, a sale of citrus fruits from Italy from Bellagrume, a sale of coffee from Labelle Brûlerie and a refreshment bar with tons of Italian drinks (wines and fruit juices) all against the backdrop of Garzza’s Italian playlist, from the 60s to today. PASTA, PIZZA, DOLCE VITA, FORZA ITALIA, MAMMA MIA!
