Apple TV+ announces Firebug, a series starring Taron Egerton

Apple TV+ announces that it has given the green light for Firebug, a new series starring Taron Egerton. The actor who has already appeared in the series black bird on the streaming platform, will also be a producer.

Series Firebug will follow a troubled detective and an enigmatic arsonist (played by Taron Egerton) as they follow in the footsteps of two serial arsonists. The program is inspired by some events presented in the podcast Firebug from, hosted by Academy Award and Emmy winner Kary Antholis, who serves as an executive producer for Crime Story Media.

Firebug is produced by Apple Studios and is developed, written and produced by Dennis Lehane. In addition to his starring role, Taron Egerton will serve as an executive producer alongside Richard Plepler (EDEN Productions), Bradley Thomas and Dan Friedkin (Imperative Entertainment). The set already know each other since they worked on the series black bird.

There is currently no information on the release date or the rest of the cast. We must therefore await more information on this subject.

In the process, Apple TV + specifies that this is his fourth project with Imperative Entertainment, the pair have already worked on the series black birdthe movie Killers of the Flower Moon by Martin Scorsese with Leonardo DiCaprio and the film The effort.
