Restaurant Brands International | Former Domino’s Pizza manager appointed chairman of the board

(Toronto) The parent company of coffeehouse chain Tim Hortons has named a former Domino’s Pizza executive chairman and CEO of its board.


Restaurant Brands International, which also oversees the Burger King, Popeyes and Firehouse Subs chains, said Patrick Doyle would take the position immediately.

Mr. Doyle served as CEO of Domino’s Pizza from 2010 to 2018.

Daniel Schwartz and Alex Behring, who were co-chairmen of RBI’s board, will continue to sit on the company’s board.

Mr. Behring is a co-founder of 3G Capital, a shareholder in RBI, and is currently Co-Managing Partner, while Mr. Schwartz is Co-Managing Partner of 3G Capital and former CEO and Chairman of RBI.

In a statement, Mr. Schwartz and Behring said that the addition of Mr. Doyle is part of the company’s strategy to accelerate the growth of its brands and franchisees’ profitability and deliver shareholder returns.
