Sarthe. A man stalks the manager of a pizzeria by threatening him with a butcher’s sheet

The facts were committed on the night of Monday 19 December 2022 in Le Mans (Sarthe). A man is suspected of having vandalized the window of a business and of having threat its manager… with a bladed weapon.

In the defendant’s box, assisted by an interpreter, the defendant speaks in a clear voice.

Tall, thin, dark, regular features, younger looking, modestly dressed, he tries with small gestures to explain to the court what happened a few days earlier.

Drunk and threatening

That evening it is almost 10 p.m., rue de la petite Vitesse in Le Mans (Sarthe), when the highly alcoholic 30-year-old appears at a first establishment, where he asks to be served at drinkingrejects the manager.

The 30-year-old then loses his temper and starts insulting and threatening him.

“I’m going to fuck you,” he yells at her.

Armed with a butcher’s sheet

The thirty-something then crosses the street and goes to a pizzeria, where he ends up losing his temper and yelling and to threaten the manager before he pulls out a butcher knife with which to smash the window of the establishment!

But it doesn’t stop there! He starts chasing the manager with his bladed weapon!

He manages to escape, and the 30-year-old, heavily intoxicated, will be arrested by the police around

He recognizes certain facts

In front of rightthe defendant tries to explain what happened that night.

If he admits to kicking the window of the pizzeria with the butcher’s sheet “found in a park while ordering a pizza”, he denies the rest of the circumstances of which he is accused.

Unknown to Justice, but is the subject of a complaint for violence on his neighbors, the 30-year-old is also subject to an obligation to leave French territory (OQTF)…

6 months imprisonment

After the prosecutor’s statement, the court declares the accused guilty of all the conditions for which he is charged and sentences him to 6 months in prison.

He is detained.
