Influencer julia66, of the blog My Desires and Me, recently shared her recipe for pasta gratin in tomato sauce, which is as easy as it is mouth-watering. Its special feature: no need to pre-cook the pasta, all the ingredients are cooked at the same time, in the dish, before being put in the oven. There is also no need to monitor, use many dishes or spend too much time in the kitchen. All cooked carefully in the oven while you give yourself time to attend to other occupations. Like a lasagna dish, but with less preparation. Not to mention that it can be turned down endlessly with chicken, salmon, seasonal vegetables… The important thing is that there is enough liquid for the pasta to cook.
Also, this trick is reminiscent of another technique that has gone viral: one pot pasta. Remember that this was a method of preparing pasta that consisted of boiling all the ingredients together in a pot, with stock or sauce. Childishly simple, the recipe created a buzz in 2015.

How to make @julya66’s one pot baked pasta?

It is preferable to choose pasta in the form of a tube (type penne or macaroni), which is better suited for gratins. However, you can choose spaghetti or short pasta (farfalle, trophy, fusilli…).

  • 300 g raw pasta
  • 15 cl of water
  • 400 g tomato pulp
  • 25 cl liquid fresh cream
  • 250 g mozzarella in pieces
  • grated cheese
  • salt pepper

Preheat the oven to 200°C.
Put the pasta in an ovenproof dish.
Moisten with water, tomato pulp and cream.
Salt pepper.
Add the mozzarella pieces and the grated cheese. Mix it all with a fork.
Bake for 45 min.
